The Rutgers University School of Social Work is currently seeking non-tenure, teaching and/or professional practice, track (NTT) faculty members to support its BASW and MSW programs. The BASW and MSW programs’ goals are to prepare bachelor’s and master’s level social workers for careers that enhance individual and community well-being, engage evidence informed practice, and further social justice in a variety of non-profit and public service settings.

Successful candidates will teach at least 7 courses per academic year, contribute to curriculum development and, participate in school and university service. All NTT faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly/professional dissemination and service activities in accordance with their rank, and other duties as assigned. These positions are either academic year (teaching at least 7 courses) or calendar year (teaching at least 9 courses), New Brunswick based positions subject to contractual renewals. Salary and rank appointment is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work; significant post-MSW direct practice experience; familiarity with anti-oppressive practice; significant engagement with and positive reputation among local, state and/or national social welfare organizations; record of or potential for excellence in teaching; ability to work with diverse constituencies and engage with a collegial and inclusive culture.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree (DSW or PhD) in social work or related field; work experience in higher education; record of scholarly contributions.
