About the Role:

Employed through a preferred contingent supplier to support projects on-site or off-site for neurocrine. This will be a part time position that is looking for someone to be onsite half days Monday - Friday (ideally), or onsite 3x a week. Students may apply.

Your Contributions (include but are not limited to):
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person with a passion for science and the ability to quickly learn new lab techniques

  • Help with basic tissue culture lab work

  • Working under the supervision of a senior scientist you will assist with the development of assays to quantify mRNA and protein expression from in vitro cell models

  • You will use sterile techniques during the culture of mammalian cell lines to assist with cell line engineering

Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant discipline with strong GPA

  • 0-2 years laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture (maintenance, expansion, transfection, transduction)

  • 0-2 years laboratory experience in molecular biology (RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR)

  • Knowledge of antibody assays such as ELISA or MSD a plus

  • Knowledge of gene therapy a plus

  • Experience with standard laboratory instrumentation: PCR, centrifugation, plate readers and washers, liquid handling, etc. a plus

  • Ability to work safely and maintain detailed documentation of experiments

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment
