- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less or Stylus
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
- Knowledge and experience administering a Slate environment
- Experience working in the areas of communications and/or marketing in higher education or related field
- Working knowledge of Drupal or similar content management systems
- Experience using scripting languages to automate recurring manual processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective team-player who can also work independently
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies

- Design, code, test and implement custom admissions portals in Slate for prospective students and counselors
- Build web applications in Slate using web development best practices
- Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- Create functional prototypes of website components and core website templates and deploy for testing and implementation in Slate and across the admissions websites
- Write high-quality, scalable and reusable code that meet industry and university standards so that they can be easily referenced by other campus developers

- Provide training and develop documentation for end-users to reference
- Devise and implement solutions to improve functionality and design of Slate portals and Admissions websites based on user feedback

- Code custom email marketing campaigns, designs graphics and content for digital display
- Integrate UTMs and analytics tracking to emails and Slate portals
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to create complex queries
