Postdoctoral Associate - Division of Nutritional Sciences
Cornell University

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join our team and work across multiple projects related to evidence synthesis, biofortification, and child health including child obesity. The Mehta Research Group primarily works in southern India and coastal Ecuador. Our focus is on vulnerable populations including mothers and children, and those suffering from infectious diseases such as HIV infection, Tuberculosis, Dengue virus infection, Zika virus infection, and Malaria. Our research is on a) identifying risk factors that predict poor health in our communities as early as possible through active surveillance; b) inventing field-friendly devices such as the Cornell NutriPhone and FeverPhone to enable community-level or point-of-need diagnoses; and c) intervening to modify the identified risk factors mainly through sustainable interventions. We also work with implementing and guideline developing partners and synthesize evidence to help inform guidelines and policies. More details on current projects are available at http://insight.cornell.edu/projects .
The candidate will have a PhD or equivalent degree in nutrition, epidemiology, or a related clinical or public health field. Experience conducting systematic review and/or training in Cochrane methods is desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Please submit a CV along with a statement of research interest and a statement of diversity in Academic Jobs Online:  https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/18467.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
