The Special Projects Coordinator supports the efforts of the Director of Special Projects and the office of University Communications & Marketing. This position will support emergency communications, major university events, such as Commencement and other various university-level initiatives and events.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong written communication and editorial skills

  • Demonstrated project coordination skills

  • Demonstrated organizational/interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative manner

  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize work assignments

  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Two years of experience providing administrative or office support, event coordination, program management or program implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field

  • Experience in marketing and/or communications field
