Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) - Daytona Beach campus invites applications for a Post-Doctoral STEM Associate position beginning as early as July 2021.

This is a full-time, 12-month appointment. Reappointment each year will be contingent on successful performance. The Post-Doctoral Associate will primarily support CTLE’s GTA Academy. We are seeking candidates that have expertise and skills working with Graduate Teaching Assistants to improve their teaching. The Associate will also have opportunities to pursue their professional research interests and initiate/collaborate with our team on a number of educational development programs. Candidates with expertise in quantitative data analysis and equity-focused educational development will receive preference.


Qualifications

The candidate must possess these minimum qualifications:

  • Completion of a doctoral degree by start date.
  • Experience managing or supporting GTA programs/initiatives
  • Expertise with quantitative or mixed-methods research approaches
  • Knowledge of aspects of equitable pedagogical practices
  • Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and gives attention to detail

Candidates should provide 1) a cover letter stating experience as it relates to the job qualifications, 2) a curriculum vitae, and 3) contact information for three references. Review of applications will begin on April 23, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.
