Reporting to the Director of the Hariri Institute, the Director, Finance and Administration is responsible for directing a wide variety of administrative processes, fiscal operations, human resource management, regulatory compliance, and administrative infrastructure within the Institute. The Director is responsible for managing relationships with, and serves as Institute's primary contact for, administrators in the Office of Research, Human Resources, and other central offices. This position is responsible for creating, fostering, and reinforcing a culture of agile, responsive, and competent administrative services in support of the Institute's core mission of fostering inter-departmental research in computing & data sciences. The Director provides strategic operational, financial and people management leadership in support of the broader mission of the Institute. Budgetary responsibilities include providing quarterly budget confirmations, leading the Institute through successful fiscal-year close, and preparing materials for annual budget hearing. This role, working in close collaboration with the faculty directors, technical and administrative leadership, staff teams, and central administration, supports a strategy encompassing a highly visible, unique and complex array of initiatives, multi-sector research projects, programs, and community of scholars. This position requires agility, professional accountability, ability to balance multiple complex interests, supervisory experience and financial acumen. The Director also serves as manager for the five members of the Institute's core administrative staff.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 year's experience required, Master's preferred.
