Research Program Assistant
Job Description
The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Research Program Assistant for the division of Neurosurgical Oncology. Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator this person will contribute to education projects by adapting existing laboratory resources to create new learning content to expand teaching modules.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop an online tool to enhance research education for trainees.
- Develop topics for training modules, e.g. proper cell culture techniques, imaging protocols, safety in the laboratory, etc.)
- Write detailed descriptions and standard operating procedures for each topic.
- Assist with film/video for selected techniques.
- Assist in incorporating all elements into a dynamic computer module.
- Develop questions for the evaluation and assessment portion and incorporate into a graded testing format at the conclusion of the tutorials.
- Write feedback questionnaire for tutorials and evaluate data provided.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Some related experience in laboratory techniques and operations.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Laboratory experience and computer skills to create instructional content.

Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CB
Starting Salary Range: $15.40 - $23.25 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Casual / On Call
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
