Job duties:
- Prepares annual budgets and forecasts and generates supporting documentation and financial analyses for department and division leadership.
- Manages approved equipment finding and approved budget purchases to ensure compliance.
- Manages business processes and financial transactions including account payable, procurement contracts and requisitions, and journal vouchers.
- Responsible for creating budgets and chargebacks for ND Football games, concerts, and other campus events throughout the year.
- Reviews and approves biweekly non-exempt payroll, submits payroll adjustments, and prepares payroll reports.
- Facilitates new hires, transfers, promotions, and separations, and assists hiring managers in preparing and reviewing position description updates.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field with a strong background in accounting and/or auditing.
- 1 to 2 years in finance or accounting in higher education, governmental, or public accounting.
- Prior accounting/business experience must have demonstrated excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft suite.
- Demonstrated abilities in accounting, program evaluations, planning, and project
management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in finance or accounting in higher education, governmental, or public accounting.
- Experience with SAP Concur and internal systems (Financial ToolKit, BuyND, GLez)
