Full-Time Psychologist(s) in Women’s Mental Health to work at CUIMC
The Department of Psychiatry is a seeking psychologist(s) with interest and expertise in the assessment and treatment of psychological issues in women across the female reproductive life cycle. This is a full-time, clinical position in an outpatient setting, working closely with the Women’s Program in the Department of Psychiatry.

1. The psychologist(s) will conduct evaluations of women with psychiatric disorders and psychological distress during and after pregnancy, as well as women struggling with issues related to infertility, pregnancy loss, perimenstrual mood fluctuations and menopausal mood disorders. Evaluations and treatment will be conducted at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The psychologist will also provide evaluation and treatment for general psychiatry cases.
2. The psychologist(s) will provide group and individual psychotherapy.
3. The psychologist(s) will work closely with the Women’s Program at CUMC, including other psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, under the supervision of the leadership of the Women’s Program.
4. The psychologist(s) will attend the weekly clinical case conference and teaching rounds at CUMC. There will be opportunities for clinical supervision, peer supervision, involvement in topically related research, and some teaching of psychology trainees, medical students and psychiatry residents.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
NYS license required.
Instructor level requires graduation from an APA accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, and APA accredited predoctoral internship program.
Assistant Professor level requires 2-3 years clinical experience in a hospital or private practice setting.

Experience and Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest and experience in the field of Women’s Reproductive Mental Health.
Strong leadership potential.
Demonstrated interest in academic as well as clinical psychology.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well across disciplines.
Familiarity with high-risk patients.
Experience with integrated care a plus.
