Logistics Analyst

Sony Electronics has an excitingfull-timeopportunity for a Logistics Analyst. We are seeking a highly motivated professional, capable of driving accurate and efficient data analysis to manage reporting for all Logistics-related topics such as cost and on time delivery.

The Logistics Data Analyst is primarily responsible for collecting and assessing various data and preparing relevant reports to present to key stake-holders on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis. They will be the go-to individual on extracting/manipulating/assessing data from various sources to drive positive growth/change/savings within the organization.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Extract, develop and analyze logistics related data for optimized financial and service level results, including the presentation of said data to Business Unit staff. Focus is overall logistics cost and opportunity management as well as maximized customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Interface with internal and external business parties in the execution of daily, weekly and monthly activities. Involves all levels of Sony management as well as third-party providers

  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives; work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules

  • Will act as team member within group focused on the vision, strategies, and tactics for most suitable global logistics network, with a focus on the benefits to total company

  • Assist various internal groups and Sony group companies as a subject matter expert.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must have minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a related field.

  • A basic understanding of Logistics and Transportation functions is required

  • Proficiency with MS Windows based applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint required.

  • Candidates must possess the proven ability to conduct business assessment and data analysis to identify issues and/or opportunities, and identify appropriate potential solutions

  • Requires effective communication and presentation skills, excellent inter-personal skills, and demonstrated ability to lead individuals through business change while achieving consensus/acceptance will contribute to the success of this position's function and business contribution

  • Requires a general understanding of the Accounting and Budgetary process

  • General knowledge of logistics systems (WMS, TMS, SAP) is desired

  • Must be detailed and results oriented with excellent skill set for data analysis and organization of effective reports.

  • Must be skilled with verbal and written communication and be able to interact with various internal and external stakeholders.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $57,382 to $76,509. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
