What You'll Do:
As our Technical Publications Writer, you will perform a wide breadth of duties in support of updating E-2C/D and C-2 legacy publications. This position will be based at NAS North Island in San Diego, CA and will require an on-site presence (not eligible for remote or telework). Primary responsibilities will include:
- Offering perspective on best practices for technical publications and making process improvements where needed
- Incorporating source data to include TPDRs, ECPs, TDs, RAMECS and IRACs into technical publications in order to create updated S1000D manuals
- Providing final change packages to the Data Manager for final review and upload to TMAPS
- Performing peer reviews on publications, when needed
- Communicating with engineers to ensure appropriate redlining of source data
- Utilizing Eagle Publishing System to convert legacy E-2D common technical publications into S1000D
- Transferring archived and current technical publication change packages from CDs and uploading to CMPRO

Requirements
Required Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience with the E-2D aircraft platform as a mechanic or technician
- Demonstrated experience with desktop publishing software, e.g., XML S1000D and Adobe InDesign
- Knowledge of NATEC, TMAPS and JDRS websites
Desired Qualifications:
- E-2D Navy Enlisted Classification E16A/E35A
- Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)
- Quality Assurance Representative (QAR)

Security Clearance Requirements:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Salary Range:
- The estimated salary range for this position will be $120,000 - $135,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
