Job Summary
The University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks a creative, innovative, and thoughtful person to join its Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX Office (ECRT). The Deputy Director works closely with and reports directly to the Director of ECRT and Title IX Coordinator as the ECRT works toward the University’s commitment to address discrimination and harassment, including sexual and gender-based misconduct. In general, the duties include:
Provide guidance to campus partners regarding University compliance with relevant federal and state civil rights laws and assist with activities that ensure the University is in compliance with those laws.

Three or more years working in a higher education enviroment.
A J.D., similar degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience investigating allegations of sexual misconduct against students, faculity, and staff in a manner compliant with Title IX.
