Inside Sales Representative
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue and growth for all Ames Tools Corporation products, including sales to both new and existing distribution partners and driving end user demand to pull sales through company stores and other distribution partners within the assigned territory. The Inside Sales Representative works hand in hand with the Business Development Manager assigned to the identical territory to create an ongoing revenue stream through relentless new customer identification, account establishment and cultivation.
The Inside Sales Representative plans and conducts sales calls, addressing customer needs, selling additional products and services, retaining current business, and following up on leads generated by the Business Development Manager. This position builds relationships with key decision makers and acts as a customer advocate. The Inside Sales Representative will research competitive strategies and offerings and use product knowledge and negotiation skills to generate solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
The Inside Sales Representative and Business Development Manager must have a cooperative, symbiotic relationship, expertly weaving their respective skills and efforts to maximize revenue for the Company. The working relationship is built on the trust that their sales counterparts will perform their respective responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively contact existing and potential customers within the assigned territory using outbound telephone calls, e-mail, chat and videoconference to sell all Ames Tools Corporation products.
- Constantly assess the revenue potential of existing and new customers for Ames to determine impactful call frequency and methods.
- Maintain and grow existing customers in the assigned territory.
- Establish new distribution partners, including Drywall Yards, Building Material Dealers, STAFDA dealers and independent tool dealers.
- Develop and cultivate relationships and offer solutions to key, identified end user customers to drive sell through at Ames stores and all other distribution partners, including e-commerce.
- Maintain CRM customer database and all related activities with the CRM customer database
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
- Meet or exceed sales targets and goals
Requirements:

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
* Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, complaints and issues.
* Coordinate opportunities; provide office support and strategies with other sales team members.
* Maintain knowledge of Ames products and services to develop appropriate sales solutions.
- Partner with Application Specialist on technical support for customers
Basic Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Bachelor's degree in management from a four-year college or university preferred or at least 3-5 years of experience as an Inside or Outside Sales Representative responsible for Business-to-Business sales; preferably in construction or a construction related industry.
- Knowledge of the features and business applications of services, products and customer-facing technology offerings and solutions
- Experience assessing, identifying, measuring and monitoring customer or business needs to make decisions and take appropriate actions
- Demonstrated success building business partnerships and developing key customer relationships to maximize account profitability
- Experience aligning account strategies to customer goals
- Proficiency in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Less than 10% travel.
- Bilingual - Spanish and English preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as departmental reports and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, create internal and external presentations, and other related communication to customers and internal personnel. Build positive communication paths across the organization.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
- Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and ability to adjust focus. The employee
- must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation Range:
** This pay range is a reasonable estimate made in good faith of the possible compensation at the time of the posting of this position. However, the Company may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
- $19.09 - $22.00
Incentive Plan:
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's Incentive Plan, which is based on a combination of individual and company performance.
