Full Time; AM 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Monday - Friday
Expected starting wage range is $22.62 - $27.63. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staffing Scheduler Timekeeper performs all scheduling and timekeeping responsibilities for designated programs. This includes creating and editing schedules to fill open positions, timecard management including edits following the publishing of the initial four (4) week schedules. This individual is responsible for mobilizing staff and resources for daily needs that surface up to 48 hours before the start of a shift utilizing the staffing system platform and other strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* High school diploma or a G.E.D.
* One (1) year of direct experience in staff scheduling preferably in healthcare setting
* Experience in using scheduling software and other related technologies
* Word and other computer skills
* Ability to self-manage time and meet assigned deadlines with accuracy
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Preferred:
* Depth of knowledge and experience in using Excel and other computer software
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders
* Assist with creating and editing four (4) week program schedules that meet applicable regulatory requirements
* Assign specialty roles particular to each program's operational needs
* Ensures schedules meet regulatory and Collective Bargaining Agreements
* Contacts available staff to meet minimum staffing requirements utilizing available resources to fill open shifts
* Approve or deny all schedule change requests, including shift-swaps, with communication to program managers as appropriate
* Adjust schedule to accommodate needs and changes through acquiring additional personnel or reducing scheduled staff.
* Within 48 hours of shift time, allocate resource/float pool/agency staff to programs based on needs using technology and communication skills
* Edit and maintain preferred scheduling pattern templates
* Archive schedule at key times during the cadence
* Prepare timecards for readiness for manager approval including time edits
* Generate and provide reports as needed
* Ensures compliance with Telecare's policies and procedures

SKILLS
* Intermediate abilities with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and scheduling and timekeeping software and reporting tool
* Able to communicate well, team build, and problem solve
* Good customer relations skills
* Able to identify and remove barriers to change
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, twist and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less as well as to frequently sit, walk, reach, bend and do simple and firm grasping occasionally. The position requires manual deviation, repetition and dexterity and to occasionally drive.
