Internship - NI LabVIEW Programmer

Role and Responsibilities
The development team creates NI LabVIEW tools to control test instruments, collect data and generate qualitative analysis. The NI LabVIEW Programmer intern will be mentored by our senior LabVIEW Architect in Best Known Methods (BKM). They will apply, analyze and interpret a variety of standard theories, concepts, methods, and techniques to a limited range of issues within a single technical area using imaginative as well as practical solutions.
Create, modify Debug and maintain LabVIEW applications in Windows and Linux environments.
Design, implement, and debug software components according to corporate standards and procedures
Follow best practices for software development, archiving, and version control.
Document software, including requirements, design, code, user manuals.
Gain experience with processes associated with working in cross functional environment
Research and evaluate new software and hardware technologies for potential integration into products
Work as a collaborative team member on engineering projects
Education and Experience
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or a relevant field of study with a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
Must have exposure to LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time software.
Must have experience programming. Experience with C/C++ and Python preferred.
Experience or familiar with real-time data acquisition and instrument control, a plus.
Exposure to Linux based Hardware, a plus.
Exposure to various communication buses and protocols Serial, Ethernet, SPI etc., a plus.
Basic software and User Interface design knowledge (samples may be requested), a plus.
Familiarity with standard diagnostic equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, Protocol analyzers), a plus.

Responsibilities:
Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

May require travel dependent on business needs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.).
