Summary of Position
This position reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Innovation and New Ventures and will be part of the UNHInnovation senior management team. The Director will serve as the primary point of contact and lead for all co-curricular activities of the Center and will work closely with Senior Executive Leadership and key administrators to cultivate long-term relationships, develop and deliver new activities, and support activities developed by others on campus in the area of entrepreneurship. The Director will serve as a facilitator and resource that accelerates interdisciplinary entrepreneurship co-curricular activities. The Director will be a key leader in helping to set the future direction of UNH’s dynamic, and exciting locus of entrepreneurial activity on campus.

Other minimum qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, with 7 or more years of related experience (e.g., business development, entrepreneurship or public administration), or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible and relevant leadership experience.
- Strong candidates will have first-hand experience leading entrepreneurial companies or organizations, or have prior experience operating a university-affiliated entrepreneurship center.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- MBA is preferred, although operational experience in a startup would be accepted in lieu of formal educational credentials beyond an undergraduate degree.
- Discipline-specific experience preferred; such as technology transfer, research commercialization or technology development.
- Experience teaching entrepreneurship or the Lean Launchpad strongly preferred.

Duty/Responsibility
Overall Responsibility for the delivery of current Entrepreneurship Center programs and development of new programs. Current programs include: Hackathons/ideathons, start-up speaker series, i2 Passport, bootcamps, Idea Creation programs, Summer Seed Grant, Internships at start-ups, Idea + Innovation Society, Shaw Innovation Explorers, mentor program (50+ mentors) Makerspace, Maurice Prize, Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Development of new programs as needs arise and funding available.
Duty/Responsibility
Responsible for Entrepreneurship Center staff delivering the highest quality high-impact programs, Entrepreneurship Center/Staff goals and outcomes including, but not limited to, Associate Director, Associate Program Manager, Graphic Designer, Administrative Assistant, Entrepreneur(s)-in-Residence and student Ambassadors and work study students.
Duty/Responsibility
Direct coaching and mentoring of students with their ideas (90%+ ) and faculty and alumni (up to 10%) to help work towards venture creation. Coaching includes preparing students for written, video, and presentation for national competitions, UNH’s Holloway Prize, and UNH’s Social Venture Innovation Challenge.
Duty/Responsibility
Create and manage an advisory board made of UNH alumni and non-alumni. Meet at least twice a year to help in the strategic planning, guidance, and financial support of the Entrepreneurship Center.
Duty/Responsibility
Create branding and market the Entrepreneurship Center to internal and external stakeholders, nationally and globally including attending conferences and/or trade shows.
Duty/Responsibility
Secure additional funding for the Center through grants, sponsorship, and philanthropic donations. Work with University Advancement to secure philanthropic donations. Minimum of $250,000 per year. Launch major capital campaign of at least $6.0 million.
