In our additive manufacturing focus area, we have a team of technicians that innovate in the areas of polymers, ceramics, and metal 3D printing. These techniques are leveraged to produce end use components and drive greater efficiencies within our legacy manufacturing processes.
We are hiring an Additive Manufacturing Technician to join the team. This is a hands-on opportunity to be at the forefront of 3D printing technology.
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers on print requests, production, materials, and printer maintenance.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers, CNC machines, and other equipment.
- Prepare 3D models for printing, including using basic CAD programming skills.
- Manage print queues, materials, and printer quality.
- Train users on 3D printers and troubleshoot issues.
- Track printer usage, inventory levels, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and prepare utilization summaries for stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent
- Strong technical skills and experience with electrical and mechanical equipment.
- CAD software experience (Siemens NX, Solidworks, or similar) with the ability to read CAD drawings and assemblies
- Additive prep manufacturing software knowledge (3Dxpert, Dyndrite, or similar)
- Understanding of 3D printers, electrical controls, and machine tools.
- Coding experience (Python, C, C++) and CNC Milling/turning
- Proficiency in MS Office and a knack for problem-solving.
- Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ownership mentality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on a production floor
