Position Information:

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Is directly accountable and responsible to the Payroll Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supporting Payroll and HR processes, procedures, and programs as needed and directed.
- Responsible for the scanning and document retention process in Perceptive Content for the department.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating employee records and position information in HCM, spreadsheets, etc.
- Responsible for the onboarding of non-benefitted employees.
COMPENSATION: $40,451 - $50,564 based on directly related experience. Paid health insurance, life insurance, retirement, employee tuition waiver, spouse/dependent tuition discount.

In this role, the primary responsibility is managing payroll duties, which include onboarding various types of employees, tracking out-of-state wages, updating address changes, and communicating HR and payroll information. The role also involves responding to job service claims, assisting with payroll processing, and handling vendor reconciliations. Additionally, the position supports HR functions by updating records, providing technical assistance, and preparing reports. Miscellaneous duties include ordering supplies, providing office coverage, and supporting departmental innovation and special projects.

- Associate degree and two years of related payroll, accounting or human resources-related work experience.
- Experience and working knowledge of federal and state HR employment laws, rules, regulations, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Well-developed skills with various computer software programs (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet, electronic calendar, email, etc.) and excellent keyboarding skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills working with employees, students, and the public.
- Good organizational skills, analytical skills, and the ability to attend to details.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and follow through on work assignments/projects/reports, etc.
- Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality.
- More than two years of related payroll, accounting or human resources-related work experience.
- PeopleSoft experience
