Description

To qualify for this position, students must be enrolled in 12+ units during the Fall/Spring semesters, and 6+ units during Summer.


Under direction of the Senior Laboratory Technicians, students will wash laboratory glassware, maintain cleanliness of classrooms and lab support, and assist in the preparation of experiments/lab exercises for biology courses. Must be able to lift, climb and push 10-40 lbs., be responsible, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in a lab environment while practicing safe laboratory procedures.

Required:

Able to follow directions and utilize safe laboratory practices.

Must have completed at least one semester of college level Biology or Chemistry.

 

Preferred:

Life science/ biological sciences major

 

Lab hours:  Must be available for 2 three-hour shifts per week. 

The lab is open Monday-Thursday 7AM to 4:30PM.
