Summary of Position

The senior multimedia manager, in close collaboration with the college integrated marketing director, creates and overseas the execution of multimedia stories for the college’s primary audiences, including but not limited to, prospective students and their families, alumni and donors, key college stakeholders, and enrolled students, faculty and staff. Content will include social media content, web copy, videos, design, and written content for marketing materials. The senior producer must be skilled in imagining and creating content across all channels and platforms and will have primary responsibility for programming and managing the Paul College Social Media Channels.

This senior-level creative professional will:

  • Work in collaboration with the college’s marketing director and the UNH central marketing team to develop and execute a content marketing plan that guides story development for all communications and marketing channels, to include social channels, the college digital and print publications, and the website.
  • Concept big ideas and provide creative content for multiple concurrent short- and long-term projects directed at a range of key stakeholders within and beyond the university.
  • As part of the college’s undergraduate admissions recruitment team, help strategize and execute communications and marketing pieces that encourage prospective students to apply to UNH Paul college and enroll.
  • Manage a team of student workers who will provide story content for the social media channels and marketing and communications support to the Paul MarCom and undergraduate admissions teams.

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in journalism, advertising, marketing, communications or new media.
  2. Five years of directly related experience (writing, photography, video, social media, web or other content categories).
  3. Sound writing skills with attention to audience, tone and nuance.
  4. Strong visual skills that include ability to shoot, edit, and produce quality videos and photographs for social media channels, website and digital and print marketing efforts.
  5. Demonstrated experience with managing a brand’s social media accounts.
  6. Ability to create and update Drupal websites.
  7. Effective interpersonal skills.
  8. Technology skills as required by department.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with email communications and marketing tools such as Constant Contact and Salesforce Marketing Cloud; design tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva; Adobe Premiere; Microsoft Office 365.
  2. Knowledge of higher education and new/emerging trends in communication.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Creates original content for Paul College communications streams.
  • The Senior Producer creates superb communications that reflect the college and UNH brands. Original content may include (but is not limited to) video, photography, design, and text.
  • Distribute content via multiple vehicles including social media channels, the website, email, and print.
  • Must have good project management skills to conceptualize production of digital and print communications products.
  • Requires high-level interpersonal skills in working with internal clients to understand their programs, ideal messaging, and how to convey these in impactful communications.
  • Must be technology savvy and have some basic knowledge of website editing and building using Drupal or similar tools.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Programs and manages the college social media channels, to include Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • In consultation with director and dean of the college, sets actionable goals to achieve engagement (to include click throughs, shares, comments, participation in contests and events, fundraising activities, etc.).
  • Analyzes and creates reports to share with college leadership to inform how social media is helping the organization communicate with and engage its key constituents, to include prospective students and families, alumni, faculty and staff, business leaders, and other business college deans and directors.
  • Manages a student social media team and leads them in the creation and development of content. Mentors others in the college and department on how to create social media content and coordinates sub-brands of the college.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Requires high level of independent intellectual curiosity to keep abreast of new/emerging trends in communication.
  • Interest and skill in teaching fellow staff and faculty members how to use software such as Photoshop and Canva to improve their photos and design.
  • When possible, attends professional trainings and conferences to keep knowledge and skills current.
  • Actively participates in UNH social media meetings and in online higher education groups focused on new/emerging media.
