Under direct supervision of the Pain Management Clinic nurse manager, and the general supervision of the clinic physicians, APPs, and licensed nursing staff, this RN position will be responsible for triage of patient symptoms and questions that present via phone and, MyChart messages. The RN will be responsible for responding to these calls and messages and managing patient issues according to department guidelines. In addition, the position will assist with appointment scheduling, assessment and triage of new referrals, care coordination, and pre/post hospital and procedural follow up for the Department of Anesthesiology's pain division.
This RN will also provide coverage for sick calls, vacation, and messaging coverage for the pain clinic team. The RN needs to have strong clinical and communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with health care teams in ensuring optimal care for patients and families in a busy outpatient Pain clinic. Recent ambulatory triage experience and/or ambulatory pain management clinical experience is preferred. Must have the ability to provide an excellent experience for our patients, providers, and team members.

- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
- RN License issued by the State of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
- Minimum two (2) years of active RN experience.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate ideas for all levels of audiences.
- BSN
- Triage and/or procedural RN experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
