Summary of Position

Keene State College is seeking applications for a Director of Admissions who will engage in opportunities to advance Keene State College’s plans and strategies for success related to Undergraduate and Graduate program growth.

Reporting to the Vice President, Enrollment and Student Engagement, the Director provides vision, leadership, direction, research and planning to formulate recruitment strategies; collaborates with faculty and administrators across campus to achieve objectives, and oversees the operations of the unit that includes both Undergraduate and Graduate admissions.

Duty/Responsibility

Supervision and Leadership
Lead the admissions team by providing overall strategic direction and vision for admissions work. This includes identifying emerging trends and increasing the visibility of Keene State across the region as a college of choice. Recruitment, supervision and evaluation of staff including: determining duties, working with HR to advertise positions, interviewing candidates and providing leadership for decision to hire; planning trainings and retreats ; creating, revising and coordinating scheduling; assigning work and tasks; supervising implementation and conducting performance reviews. DOA also is the account owner for prospective students from outside of NE, NY and NJ.

Duty/Responsibility

Strategic Initiative
By use of data and information, provide vision, leadership, direction, research and planning in formulating recruitment strategies for target markets with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. This includes using data provided by Associate Director of Admissions to develop territory goals in consultation with Counselors. DOA oversees the search strategies and facilitates short- and long- term planning and decision-making to achieve institutional benchmarks and meet the changing needs of students, faculty and staff.

Duty/Responsibility

Technology
Savvy with technology to drive recruitment and then successfully managing the prospective students to matriculation. Manages the development of Salesforce/TargetX/EducationCloud as it relates to admissions processing.

Duty/Responsibility

Knowledge of current best practices, including integrated marketing and branding, enrollment management systems, and web-based recruitment systems to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for admissions in collaboration with the Director of Marketing. This plan includes territory management, print and web based communications, advertising, parents and alums as partners and communications to high schools. Oversees the production of all publications for KSC admissions. Knowledge of market development strategies and assessment models.

Duty/Responsibility

Develops, implements, evaluates and reviews on an annual basis all operational policies and procedures for admissions as well as collaborating with Financial Aid to create, manage and revise financial aid strategy. Participates as an active member of the FA Appeals committee.
