CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages with dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive deficits, fluency, articulation disorders, language disorders, dysarthria, AAC, voice disorders, and apraxia.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluation of inpatients and outpatients with the above listed speech deficits
  • Development of treatment plans and home programming
  • Perform appropriate therapy intervention associated with the speech diagnosis.
  • Appropriate documentation and billing
  • Understanding of insurance requirements and approval processes for coverage of services
  • Complete mandatory hospital based and professional related continuing education

Completion of instrumentational dysphagia assessments (MBS)
