This position is in the Department of Chemistry.  This position is for the Danforth Campus in the School of Arts & Sciences.

Essential Functions

The Patti group in the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a post-doctoral research associate for a position that is up to three years, or until the project is completed. Our group applies mass spectrometry-based metabolomics to understand physiological regulation in diseases, such as cancer as well as metabolic responses, to drugs/toxicants. In addition to their independent research project(s), the post-doctoral research associate will be expected to aid in the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. 

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable for this position:

  • Computer programming (R, Python, etc.).
  • Liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-based metabolomics.
  • Metabolism/physiology.
  • Basic molecular biology techniques.
  • Mice, zebrafish, and/or worms.

Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
