Job Summary
Is responsible for instructional facilitation of assigned courses including teaching classroom/online/hybrid classes; develops curriculum and instructional materials; evaluates student success; assesses program effectiveness; recommends and implements changes; provides program wide coordination and planning in the areas of data collection, entry and analysis; is responsible for ensuring program compliance with ADE assessment policy; assign pre/post assessments as needed to all adult education students and core partners; provides support for adjunct faculty; coaches facilitators in assigned area; writes program proposals; plans for related projects; conducts marketing and outreach for assigned areas/programs; gathers and analyzes data to assist teacher/program learning needs; and serves all students as a TRUE Learning Community by promoting student success through student learning, student development, and student retention.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction to students in a group or on an individual basis at various locations; provides information to students on program requirements; evaluates students’ progress; and assesses learning outcomes.
- Provides instructional support to assigned adjunct faculty/instructors, including the development and presentation of professional development learning opportunities; assists with student recruitment, orientation, assessment, data collection, retention, and transition into CAC certificate or degree programs.
- Develops course outlines, syllabus, and course materials that promote learning and fulfill the program objectives; reviews textbooks and supplemental materials; maintains students’ records and grades; completes and returns required reports to the appropriate office by due date; and shares responsibility for maintaining the facilities and equipment in area utilized.
- Prepares and participates in the program review process in accordance with the stated policies and procedures; collaborates with the CCN to identify support services for participants.
- Collaborates effectively to create program proposals; attends committee meetings with the Arizona Department of Education, Arizona Transfer team members, and curriculum meetings as necessary; works with marketing to create marketing materials and attends networking events; works with CCN to identify scholarship opportunities for students; and works with administrators and educators to build enrollment in program.
- Analyzes data to guide program development, contribute to Arizona Department of Education required year end reporting. Assist in ensuring program compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional rules, regulations, and grant requirements.
- Participates in faculty development activities to update knowledge of the subject area and to remain current in the use of alternative teaching techniques and appropriate instructional technology; represents the College and/or the program on a variety of internal and external committees for the College and community.
- Assist with the implementation of the ADE-AES Assessment Policy; help in the transition to career pathways and/or post-secondary education; provide testing reports to leadership and instructors; analyze data to guide program development; provide coordination and oversee the standardized assessment process for ABE/ASE and ELAA participants. Research and assess ABE program’s assessment needs in accordance with Adult Education grant requirements. Collaborate with CAC testing center staff in developing/implementing a comprehensive assessment strategy for ABE students.
- Administer ABE/ASE and ELAA assessments as needed throughout the district.
- May assist in revising funding applications.
- Contribute to Arizona Department of Education required year end reporting. Assist in ensuring program compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional rules, regulations, and grant requirements.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in specified field to the assigned area
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The work is light work. The employee is frequently required to apply 10 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: hearing voices and distinguishing among sounds, mental acuity, speaking, standing, talking, and visual acuity in data/observations.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands. Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as noise and interruptions or in congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
