Job Description Summary

Student Life is a comprehensive, multi-faceted, dynamic area comprised of the Student Activities, Civic Engagement and Service, Student Government, International Student Support and Advising, Student Health Care Center, Student Life Business Office and Student Life Marketing. Student Life works closely with students, faculty and staff to create and support opportunities for involvement, leadership and service on the SF campus and within the surrounding community.

 

Job Description

Under general supervision, the part-time Office Assistant assists with providing the marketing team graphic design work. The part-time Office Assistant helps to coordinate, support, maintain and develop graphic design projects related to Student Life.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, revise and update materials including publications, posters, brochures, as well as web-based graphics.
  • Complete projects by coordinating with Student Life personnel to ensure accurate and timely marketing materials for all Student Life and partner entities through comprehensive project management.
  • Creatively develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Websmith 

Qualifications

Required:  Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.  
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred:  Experience as websmith and/or graphic designer.

  • Communication – able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job. 
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organization & Time Management – able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames. 
  • Relationship Management – able to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs. 
  • Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs. 
  • Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization. 
  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
