Practice Support Lead - Faculty Practice Pulmonary - 131178

Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Under supervisor of the Practice Manager, the Practice Support Lead primarily oversees and provides leadership and training for all front and back-end duties such as rooming patients, Epic workqueue coaching, and other advanced administrative duties, etc. The Practice Support Lead has oversight over his/her junior counterparts. The Practice Support Lead serves as a resource for the entire department with the guidance of the Practice Manager, the Practice Support Lead initiates and participates in improvement efforts, which directly impact the practice. Creates and maintains staff scheduling, participates in timecard preparation and creates and maintains monthly and ad hoc reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities: Submitting insurance authorization for office visits and procedure, DME authorization, editing department timecards, updating /editing provider's template in EPIC and Q-Genda, managing front desk schedules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four(4) years of related experience; skills, and extensive knowledge of practices,

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate a physician's areas of expertise.

  • Understand functions of the physician liaison department.

  • Must have experience in scheduling/registration and authorizations.

  • Proficient level of expertise of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and how to create and present graphs and charts.

  • Possess the skills, and extensive knowledge of practices in Ambulatory setting and front office administration experience

  • Understands functions of the referral and authorization department.

  • Ability to articulate physician's areas of expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's and/or MBA.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience in ambulatory practice environment.
  • Epic experience.
  • Template Management Experience.
  • Specialty Clinic Experience.
  • Multi-Specialty Administrative lead
  • Lean Six Sigma Training.
  • Q-genda experience.
  • DME experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Able to flex work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $63,016 - $78,384 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.18 - $37.54

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
