As a Petco Financial Senior Manager, FP&A, Services, you would be responsible for leading preparation of the monthly forecast and annual budget for Pet Services, helping manage the monthly close, supporting the Petco leadership team, and providing regular and ad hoc analyses for the Petco organization.

This role will work closely with key members of several teams on various facets of the company to devise strategic solutions to unique business problems. The individual will lead financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation to keep the Pet Services business on track to meet its financial goals. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented, technically capable, holds a desire to solve problems and efficiently delivers a quality work product in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position will report to the Senior Director, Pet Care Centers & Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with the Pet Services (grooming, dog training, and vet services) senior leadership team to provide planning and analysis support to ensure the teams are on track to deliver their financial goals

  • Lead the monthly close, monthly forecast refresh, annual budgeting process, and all ad hoc financial analysis for the Pet Services business

  • Manage a team of two Lead Financial Analysts

  • Identify areas to improve financial processes, reporting, and analysis

  • Serve as though partner to business leaders, providing actionable financial, operational strategic insights

  • Financial owner of end-to-end P&L results for Pet Services

  • Work with the Accounting team to ensure SEC and GAAP compliance

Required Skills:

A minimum of 8 years relevant experience (minimum 3 years people management experience) operating in highly analytical FP&A or business finance roles, as well as:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Be extremely analytical and quantitative and comfortable building advanced spreadsheet models

  • Working Accounting knowledge

  • Passion to continuously provide exceptional customer service to all internal business partners

  • Data-driven decision-maker with high degree of competence in analyzing data

  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging financial systems to empower an organization to efficiently plan and monitor financial performance

  • Self-starter and ability to manage projects independently

  • Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Passion for innovation and using technology to drive efficiency.

  • Track record of successful cross-functional communication and project management

  • Very detail oriented, with strong organization skills with the ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills).

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
