Hiring Range: Associate Instructor Minimum is $40,564 or $52,733 depending on Instructor level. (1 or 2)

Job Description:
Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
Teach 18 credit hours (day, evening, and/or weekends) per semester and maintain 10 hours of office time per week. Assignments may include such combinations of on-and off-campus, day, evening, and distance learning classes as the needs of the college require. Perform other duties related to student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in discipline.
- Community college and/or university teaching experience,
- Experience teaching freshman/1st year college courses
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching developmental and learning support classes
- Experience with technology in the classroom such as Canvas, on-line instruction, video conferencing, or similar delivery methods.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.
