Essential Job Duties
The Dairy Operator position includes responsibilities such as operating advanced equipment within the Dairy Processing Lab as well as other pilot plant laboratories within the FBNS Department. Quality duties such as microbiological testing, butterfat analysis and titratable acidity may be included within the Operator workload. The Dairy Process Operator should be a leader within the workforce and make leadership decisions during the daily performance of duties within the dairy production environment. This position should be capable of independent work with no supervision and provide direction to subordinate employees. The Dairy Process Operator position maybe assigned the responsibility of evaluation, acceptance, transportation and receipt of raw farm milk to the dairy processing operation. Multiple critical quality functions must be performed by the operator.
The position may be directed to perform route sales/delivery requirements during significant manpower shortages. Delivery of product entails being the main, in-front-of-customer representative of the DES system and requires professionalism at all times.
