Position will support research works in molecular biology, pathogenesis, and immunity to animal pathogens, foodborne pathogens of animal origin, to create and test CRISPR-based therapeutics in different animal models. Participate in experimental design, conduct research, data interpretation and analysis and preparation of manuscripts. Will perform PCR, real-time PCR, DNA cloning, sequencing, Plasmid DNA preparation, genomic DNA and RNA purification, protein expression, cell culture techniques, animal studies, animal husbandry, and perform literature searches of relevant topics and procedures. Responsible for general laboratory management, laboratory safety compliance, writing institutional biosafety and animal protocols, training other laboratory personnel, prepare research reports and summaries, manuscripts, posters and presentations for scientific meetings.

60% Conduct laboratory and animal research and perform critical analysis of

experimental data.

20% Assist in the preparation of research papers, manuscripts, posters and

presentations for scientific meetings.

20% Maintain laboratory operations and help train graduate and undergraduate

students and coordinate research activities in the laboratory and animal buildings.
