The Dean of Instructional Services administers and directs the essential educational resources and infrastructure that support the academic programs and student success at the College. The Dean reports to the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and works collaboratively with other deans, faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure quality instruction and student success.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership, in collaboration with Academic Deans, faculty, and community partners, for curriculum development, design and delivery of relevant and responsive workforce and non-credit training and learning opportunities, and assessment of student outcomes.
Serve as the College's liaison to the Onondaga County One Stop System and coordinate the College's role as One Stop System Operator, including leadership of partner meetings to align resources across the One Stop System and the local community.
Supervise and partner with faculty and staff to ensure the Library is a coordinated, contemporary, learner-centered enterprise delivering information resources, research assistance, and the Information Technology Help Desk.
Supervise the Learning Center and English Language Institute to improve student success through pedagogical and curriculum innovation, student tutoring, and college readiness workshops.
Supervise the Registration and Records Office: registration, transcripts, graduation, academic policies and procedures, and curriculum management.
Supervise Audio Visual Department (AV) to provide support for classrooms, events, and online learning and the Academic Technology Specialist, who supports the management and upkeep of the College's Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate course delivery, communication, and assessment.
Supervise and partner with faculty to deliver a Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation that fosters campus dialogue concerning equitable pedagogy and other teaching and learning needs, offers robust training in contemporary pedagogies, and supports the development and review of online courses.
Supervise Academic Technical Assistants, Technical Specialists, and Instructor Assistants to ensure technical support and assistance for faculty and students in various disciplines and programs occurs and is high quality in nature.
Supervise the Assistant Director of Employer Relations.
Manage other duties as assigned by the Provost and Senior Vice President.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalency.
5-7 years of experience working in an academic setting in the areas of academic/student services, scholarship and/or teaching.
Supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual in English and Spanish; English and other languages will be considered.
Demonstrated capacity to build and assess quality academic and workforce programs.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
Demonstrated experience working with community and local business groups.
Community College experience.

Additional Information:
Salary range is: $103,750-129,687 , commensurate with credentials and relevant experience.
