Reporting to the Board of Governors, and working in collaboration with the Senior Management Team, you will lead and direct all efforts of the College, including optimizing student experiences and outcomes, strategic planning, democratization of learning, talent development, funding, partnerships, creation of an equitable and inclusive environment, and continuous leadership as a research, innovation and leadership college. You will lead the evaluation process to maximize program offerings to prepare learners for the future of work, identify key priorities and prepare a clear path forward on the strategic plan, and gain the confidence of staff while focusing on student satisfaction.
A driver of change and transformation, and an enabler of technology (i.e. digitization, online learning), you welcome the opportunity to create new programming, expand the student market in education, and invest in infrastructure, while putting in place a strong digital strategy. Leading by example, you will champion equity, diversity and inclusion, enhance digital learning, and promote forward-thinking strategies regarding digitization, online and hybrid plans. Improved collaboration across the organization will be a hallmark of your presidency, together with enhanced professional development opportunities for employees, and new ways to address diversified learning needs of multiple generations.
Your success as President will be measured in part by your ability to maintain or, better yet, increase enrollment, build strong relationships and enhance the trust between the executive team and deans, management and the unions. Success will also include creating new joint ventures and partnerships, as well as building new and enhanced relationships with employers and industry. In this high-profile role, you will be a strong presence internationally, build productive relationships with government, and demonstrate your understanding of the ‘new normal’ and the importance of having a structure that is optimized for the future.
This executive mandate calls for significant track record of progressive senior and executive leadership experience in large, complex organizations. You have a passion and commitment for the post-secondary sector and demonstrated financial and business acumen, strengths in intergovernmental relations and advocacy, and the ability to leverage the real estate and other assets of the College.
An excellent relationship builder with proven experience in maintaining and growing partnerships, you are well equipped to support fundraising efforts, including obtaining new private funders. Above all, you bring an understanding of the post-secondary environment, and are conversant with current and emerging trends in higher education and the future of work.
