Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow for the Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies. Under the direction of the Deputy Director, supports and conducts highly specialized and technical research for the Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco (INTS).
Among the duties are:

- Conducts preliminary data analysis.
- Participates in various data collection activities.
- Prepares written reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed manuscripts based on the research at INTS.
- May participate in new grant submissions that build on existing programmatic research at INTS.
- May guest lecture in relevant graduate courses.
- Disseminates findings through oral and poster presentations.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Doctoral degree in public health, behavioral science, health services research, sociology, anthropology, psychology, or a related discipline.
- Candidates in all-but-degree (ABD) status will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of behavioral surveillance datasets (e.g., NSDUH, BRFSS, YRBS, YTS, NHIS, etc).
- Familiarity with tobacco control and/or tobacco regulatory science.

Physical Demand: Must possess good organization and documentation skills and must demonstrate good communication skills in English. Must be comfortable working quickly and accurately in a stressful, deadline driven work environment. Must be able to prioritize and quickly learn new techniques and work independently, with careful attention to detail. Must be able to work additional hours on short notice when necessary to meet key deadlines. Must be continuously accessible by email.
