Per Credit Minimum Salary for Academic Year 2024-2025:
C – Lecture – $1,297.00 per credit
D – Recitation: Discussion/Seminar – $1,297.00 per credit
E – Laboratory/Career and Technical – $1,415.00 per credit
F1 – Laboratory: Academic – $1,562.00 per credit
F2 – Laboratory: Academic – $1,769.00 per credit
G – Physical Education/Recreation Courses – $1,562.00 per credit
H – Studio: Art – $1,562.00 per credit
J – Studio: Music – $1,661.00 per credit
L2 – Clinical or Internship Instructor On-Site – $1,562.00 per credit
L3 – Clinical or Internship Rad Tech – $3,045.00 per credit
L4 – Clinical or Internship Nursing - $3,182.00 - $3,534.00 per credit based on employee’s highest applicable degree
M2 – Clinical or Internship Instructor On-Site - $1,562.00 per credit
M3 – Clinical or Internship Nursing and/or Nurse Aide (Health/Nurse Aide) - $2,121.00 - $2,356.00 per credit, based on employee’s highest applicable degree
 
In certain instances, due to low enrollment, faculty payment will be based on part-time per credit pay and pro-rated on a 10% per student basis.
 
Part-time employees also receive some benefits depending on the number of hours worked.

Job Description:

The faculty member will conduct their assignments and co-curricular college
activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of Aims
Community College as stated in the school catalog. The primary purpose of the
faculty member is to teach.

This position focuses on personnel management and human resources within emergency service agencies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Key areas of concentration include personnel planning, staffing, supervision, discipline, labor relations, affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, productivity, and compensation. Additionally, the role involves providing training in employee motivation, performance evaluations, contract negotiations, and conducting exit interviews.
 
Job Duties:
 
This position will teach remotely 100% of the time.
  • Interacting with students to provide opportunities to learn, creating conditions that facilitate learning, and using techniques and methods that create a high probability that learning will occur. To achieve such interaction, a teacher must possess these basic abilities: Instructional Delivery: Those human interactive skills and characteristics that make for clear communication of information, and promote learning through an effective learning environment.
  • Provide effective and high-quality instruction of subject being taught.
  • Apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly-defined outcomes for student learning.
  • Provide a diverse array of learning activities that directly tie to those defined outcomes.
  • Use assessment data to improve instruction and learning, and participate in an ongoing College-Wide dialogue about teaching and learning.
  • Develop and refine department curriculum as necessary to maintain currency in pedagogy and content.
  • Includes technical skills in designing, sequencing, and presenting experiences which promote student learning, and designing, developing, and implementing tools and procedures and procedures for assessing student-learning.
  • Use and develop appropriate computer-based technologies, including online instruction to promote student learning.
  • Design, develop and implement tools and procedures for assessing student-learning outcomes.
  • Adopt new teaching methodologies as appropriate. Collaborate in the development and implementation of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments of learning for students.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a Public Safety related field from an accredited college or university. Related degrees will include, but are not limited to Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, Organizational Management, and Leadership or an equivalent of education and/or work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in Public Safety or related field.
  • Have completed a course in teaching adults (e.g. Train the Trainer) or have documented.
  • Experience in teaching adults.
  • Must have personnel management and human resources experience.

All required documents need to be submitted on every application. There is no way for Aims to attach these documents in the process. However, upon hire current Aims Community College Faculty are not required to submit transcripts if official transcripts are already on file.
