As a Server Services Technical Lead on our team, you have the chance to shape the solutions on our U.S. Navy client's network by leading engineering and design. Your client will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. On our team, you'll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like cloud, and IT Infrastructure.
The NEN Technical Lead provides best practice IT systems engineering focused technical direction to engineering teams within the Windows Server Services functional area. In this role, you will bring your board industry experience and technical management expertise to the Navy's OCONUS Enterprise Engineering Team and serve as a touch point across enterprise Windows Server Services functional areas.
You'll focus on designing systems to support high levels of server, storage, and data backup or restore performance and availability, integrating warfighter unit needs with server infrastructure and storage, and maintaining or improving server and storage capability and capacity. You will be designing and installing servers both physical and virtual, planning for future system needs by leveraging Cloud or latest server solutions;, and researching technology innovations to determine potential application program needs.

You Have:
12+ years of experience engineering, implementing, and managing Windows Server based solutions in an enterprise network environment
10+ years of experience developing Active Directory based identity management, access, and authentication solutions for an enterprise network environment
5+ years of experience architecting, designing, and configuring Microsoft Windows server and end user solutions, including antivirus, patch management, and system administration tools
5+ years of experience developing detailed Windows Server engineering standards, design, and implementation documentation, and with capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance planning to ensure high availability
Experience developing automated solution deployment processes with at least one scripting language, such as PowerShell, VBScript, or Python
Experience working with network and security engineering in the development, coordination, and troubleshooting of enterprise network security systems and implementation of appropriate rulesets and configurations for firewalls, load balancers, intrusion detection systems, routers, and switches
Experience working with project managers to ensure project schedule, resource assignment, and customer deliverables meet scheduling quality standards
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED
Cloud centric infrastructure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineering Associate, or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, and DoD 8570 for IAT2 level certification, such as Security + or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
Nice If You Have:
Experience with VMware virtual server environments and configuring systems for maximum performance and operating flexibility
Knowledge of the Navy's IT Modernization Cloud initiative and developing strategies and tactics required to meet these objectives
Knowledge of Azure based Cloud solutions and certifications
Knowledge of networking technologies, including managing Windows systems and applications running on these systems
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
