Community Care College seeks a Business Programs Instructor to teach Associate of Occupational Science business program classes! This part-time position requires on-campus work in Tulsa, along with online teaching of associate-level general business courses. Subjects include Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting Principles, Business Math, Business Law, Business Communications, Leadership Development, and more. Must have a minimum of three years experience in a business-related environment and or subject material. Bachelor's Degree with at least 18 credit hours in either Marketing, Accounting, or Human Resources required. Must have strong technical skills. Distance Education teaching experience preferred. Experience with Canvas is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a sincere desire to teach in Higher Education and help others succeed.

Flexible part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) with flex hours between on-campus and remote work, primarily in the evenings. Instructors are required to provide their own hardware (PC or Mac Computer), software, and Internet service when working remotely. Licensed by OBPVS.

 


General Instructor Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Teach students in evening online classes (using Zoom) through lectures and discussions
  • Counsel students in a professional manner, offering constructive, encouraging, and timely feedback
  • Assesses students’ progress by grading assignments, exams, and other work
  • Provides individual tutoring or remedial instruction to students who require it
  • Model the CARES philosophy (Courtesy, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Success)
  • Advocates for and supports the college through extracurricular activities including, but not limited to, open houses, graduation ceremonies, and fundraising events for the non-profit organization
  • Attend meetings, as required, to stay connected (Faculty Forum, Team/Department Meetings, etc.)
  • Commit to continuous improvement as an online educator by attending training and professional development opportunities as desired or as assigned
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 18 credit hours in either Marketing, Accounting, or Human Resources required
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience in a business-related environment and or subject material
  • Must have strong technical skills
  • Must be computer literate and extremely familiar with online technologies

Preferred

  • Teaching experience
  • Distance Education teaching experience
  • Proficient with Google Workspace
  • Experience with Canvas LMS a plus
