Are you a HRIS Data Analyst / Report Writer who wants to help APL's leadership make informed decisions regarding workforce data by gathering data needs from various departments and supporting HR’s strategic planning with forecasting metrics?

Are you highly skilled in helping to advance operations through system and business process improvements?

 

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our our HR Analytics and Applications team at APL team at APL.

 

We are looking for a HRIS Data Analyst / Report Writer team member to actively participate in helping us achieve our organizational objectives by creating comprehensive reports for use in evaluating our data for trends/patterns and providing insights on what is driving performance metrics. Our goals are to optimize our current investments and make recommendations to improve our ability to collect and report out, to operational stakeholders, consistent and timely analysis.

You 'll be joining a team of business analysts, data analysts and report writers who are passionate about the future while addressing the complexities of our current design. We strive to provide outstanding customer support and effectively solve problems to deliver straightforward solutions to our customers in a complex environment.

As an HRIS Data Analyst / Report Writer you will play a meaningful role in the generation of data, charts and insights on a wide-range of critical HR topics.

 

As a HRIS Data Analyst / Report Writer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Understand how data is structured across multiple HR applications to enable accurate reporting
  • Develop queries/reports to support stakeholder requirements
  • Participate in the implementation of the analytics and process improvement efforts in support of executing the organizations strategy
  • Convert complex data into visually appealing presentations for audiences at all levels, including dashboard creations
  • Analyze and report on staffing initiatives on a recurring basis such as: turnover/attrition, staff demographics and hiring performance and make recommendations for additional analytic methods of measurement on statistically significant trends
  • Create, maintain, and analyze timely analytics/metrics that monitor staff engagement and recommend new approaches to measure engagement

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • 4+ years of HR business systems analysis experience
  • Bachelor 's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources or other relevant field
  • Workday Report Writing experience
  • Workday HCM experience 
  • Basic knowledge of HR system domains, data structures and reporting (i.e. Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits and Talent Acquisition)
  • Minimum of two years of statistical modeling / analysis
  • Experience in Advanced Excel, Power BI and/or Visier
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of client needs and translating them into functional/operational requirements.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Master 's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources or other relevant field
  • Workday implementation and Workday Prism Analytics experience
  • Business Systems Analysis or PMI-PBA certification
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Experience with Saba, and/or ICIMS
