Full job description

An Enrollment Specialist is a member of the Ivy Tech Community College Guild Hub, which offers credit programs to employees in partnership with employers. This person must be proficient with processes related to Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Orientation, Assessment, Academic Advising, and Business Support.

Must have in-depth knowledge regarding various areas of the College. Provide knowledge to students about the functions listed above and effectively enroll and transition students into the Ivy Tech community. This is primarily a remote position, though some in person meetings at the Ivy Tech Community College Evansville Campus.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to prospective and applied Guild students covering a wide range of detailed information.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to scale Guild services throughout Ivy Tech’s statewide system and to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage and effectively track Guild students.
  • Contact each new assigned applicant, follow a contact plan for continued outreach, and respond to students’ inquiries about next steps in the enrollment process.
  • Assist students in completing online processes including admissions applications and online orientation and helping them access information in online platforms.
  • Assist with inquiries and completion of items related to the application for financial aid (FAFSA), verification, loan program eligibility and requirements, standards of progress, state and federal awards, scholarships, veteran benefits, Pell lifetime eligibility, and questions regarding the financial implications of repeating coursework.
  • Provide first semester academic advising services, including the development of individual Academic Completion Plans, as needed.
  • Answer inquiries related to 1098T, Bookstore accounts, fund disbursements, refunds and withdrawal refunds, BankMobile, tuition and fees, payment options, accounts, collections, and bursar holds.
  • Escalate complex issues and questions to subject matter experts
 
Hiring Range:
  • $43,000 - 45,000, based on experience
 
Location
  • This is primarily a remote, work-from-home, position, though some in-person meetings at the Ivy Tech Community College Evansville Campus are required.

Work Hours:
  • Typical business work hours, may be adjusted during peak times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience required.
  • Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a collaborative team environment..
  • Must demonstrate the ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
  • Must reside in Indiana, Kentucky, or Illinois.
  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings periodically at the Ivy Tech campus in Evansville, IN.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years of direct experience in one or more of the following: academic advising, registration, records, financial aid, admissions, or higher education.
