Summary of Job Duties:
The Post Doctoral Fellow performs research work in the area of biomedical signal processing of maternal fetal monitoring. UAMS has the world’s first of its kind magnetoencephalography system adapted to maternal-fetal monitoring.

Qualifications:
  • PhD (or near completion in engineering, bioinformatics, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field PLUS two (2) years experience in time signals analysis of electrophysiological signals.
 
Special knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Programming in MATLAB signal analysis software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years experience in time signals analysis of electrophysiological signals such as EEG and MEG.

Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with OB/GYN faculty and other graduate students to improve signal processing methods for the data obtained from the SARA system.
  • Develops new study protocols, perform data analysis and develop new analytical approaches.
  • Assists in writing grant proposals and research related publications. Assist in maintaining the SARA system.
  • Collaborates with graduate students and member of the SARA-team and internal and external collaborators.
