|Under the direction of the Division Director of the STEM Division, the NViSION Scholars Program Coordinator will carry out the NViSION program’s mission of unifying and supporting a group of diverse, academically-talented, financially-disadvantaged STEM students who have aspirations of successfully transitioning into a Bachelor’s degree program or entering the STEM workforce by working with faculty and academic staff to support enrollment, retention, program completion, and transfer or job placement of NViSION scholars, as well as supporting the administration of the program.
A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field together with one (1) year of related experience; or a combination of education, training, and experience which would lead to the competencies required for the successful performance of the position’s essential duties.
The successful candidate must have experience in the following:
- Office administration;
- Information technology;
- The use of personal computers with word processing and spreadsheet software applications;
- Working collaboratively and effectively with others;
- Undergraduate academic enrollment;
- Advising students and applicants regarding academic courses appropriate for their preparation and career goals;
- Interacting favorably with students, parents, school officials and others in academic environments.

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
The NViSION Scholars Program Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the enrollment and retention of scholars meeting the NViSION program requirements and coordinating grant program activities through effective performance in these essential functional areas: program promotion, student recruitment and enrollment administration; retention by providing advising, academic support, and case management to scholars; plan and coordinate program activity design and implementation; attend meetings and activities related to the program; aid in data collection and management; and support outcomes measurement, tracking and reporting.
Incumbents are required to travel to such locations as schools, business offices and community facilities and to meet with and to make presentations to key officials of schools and civic groups. Incumbents are required to be licensed to drive a private passenger automobile or to arrange for alternate transportation.
STARTING WAGE: $32.14 per hour
