Company Details:

The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier quality management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that all products and services supplied to Cubic to meet our stringent quality standards. This role involves collaborating with suppliers to improve quality performance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain supplier quality management systems in compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and generate reports on key quality metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to address supplier-related quality issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to suppliers on quality standards and best practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for supplier-related quality issues.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with suppliers regarding quality expectations and performance feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in supplier quality management practices.
  • Utilize SAP for supplier quality management activities, including data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. OR equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience in supplier quality management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949), and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE), Quality Management (CQM), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards specific to the Manufacturing industry.
