Overview

CAES is seeking a temporary Part-Time Project Engineer for our San Diego location.

Responsible for the technical/operational leadership of complex development programs within guidelines set by program manager and customer. Defines, generates and reviews project requirements documentation. Performs technical studies to analyze and refine project requirements. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule and budget are within budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Responsible for conducting performance/project reviews during life cycle of development through production transfer.


Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent and regular metrics to validate and support shopload improvements
  • Works closely with program management and business development to ensure accurate SIF files are provided monthly and are program ETC based
  • Interface with Executive Staff and Program Management leadership on all aspects of shopload execution
  • Develops IRAD financial tool to update monthly/weekly and provide ease of reporting
  • Works closely with internal IRAD team to provide project execution shopload input files and project status presentations
  • Provide guidance as requested to Project Engineers to meet all project deliveries and to ensure delivered systems meet all internal accounting requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 10 years of Project Engineering experience OR related experience in design and development of RF/Microwave subsystem design and a working knowledge of related simulation/modeling and verification techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of resource loading across company functions from financial basis
  • Knowledge of Bid proposals for IRAD funding

Pay Range: $59 - $88/hour.

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
