Job Roles
- Conduct daily inspection process of mobile counseling vehicle to ensure operational safety to include inspection of the interior, exterior, brakes, headlamps, taillights and document and report mechanical malfunctions or other problems as required.
- Map out routes and destinations daily to ensure mental health services are provided.
- Drive in a safe and timely manner to various locations across communities that FHCSD services.
- Responsible for daily vehicle cleaning, routine fueling, check oil and fluid levels, and ensure vehicle is in a clean and safe operating condition.
- Ensure mechanical malfunctions or other problems are resolved and repaired in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date vehicle maintenance records by coordinating and scheduling routine and episodic vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Register patients and screen for eligibility for financial assistance programs; enter basic patient data into FHCSD system accurately ("Demographics" updated when appropriate and update any address/phone # changes). Collect specified co-pays and service fees payments, and is responsible for assigned petty cash bag.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards, i.e., vehicle logs, patient information entered into E.M.R., etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
- Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for operation of assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and an active Class C Driver's License at all times during employment.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
- 1-year related experience preferred.
- Possess safe and good driving skills.
- Knowledge of the San Diego area and surrounding communities.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate with and relate to a diverse staff and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain motor vehicle records and perform routine checks on vehicle.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
$22.50 - $28.10If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
