Genesis10 is seeking an Android Software Engineer for a leading company in San Diego, CA. This remote 12-month contract role pays $70-75/HR W2 based on experience.

Job Duties:

• Develop Android UI Components for our UI SDK using Jetpack Compose and develop an application for release.
• Employ strategies for adaptability and reuse while ensuring UI is flexible, reactive, and accessible.
• Implementations should be well tested, code efficient, and easy to read.
• Be an active participant of the team in all parts of the software development lifecycle.
• Lead changes and refinement of the UI SDK.
• Design and build applications for the Android platform
• Implement requirements on Android apps, write and update design documents
• Continuously Client, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency
• Interface with software test to ensure high quality product
• Develop automated unit and integration tests
• Participate in design, code and test reviews, provide technical leadership
• Propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• 4 years of professional Android experience with 3 of those years being the most recent.
• At least 3 years of Kotlin programming experience.
• Must have shipped an application that was delivered to the Google Play Store.
• A technical degree in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desired; in lieu of a technical degree 4 additional years of engineering experience with Java or Kotlin, preferably mobile is acceptable instead.
• Must have 2yrs of Jetpack Compose development experience
• Must be located in Southern California
• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions
• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
• You have experience writing automated tests
• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

Preferred Experience:

• SOLID or CLEAN principles - 3 yrs
• Architecture & design patterns - 3 yrs
• Decisive UI/UX experience
