Exciting Job Opportunity: Coordinator of Small Groups!

Are you passionate about deepening students’ faith and fostering authentic communities? The University of Notre Dame is seeking a dynamic Coordinator of Small Groups to lead and inspire student leaders in evangelization and discipleship on campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create Compelling Opportunities: Develop and coordinate engaging small group activities that deepen students’ relationships with Jesus Christ.
  • Develop Small Group Ministry: Maintain a robust small group ministry for upperclassmen and graduate students, including creating structured curriculums, training leaders, and ensuring groups are engaging and spiritually formative (e.g., residence hall groups, affinity groups, Bible studies).
  • Facilitate Compass Ministry: Design curriculum, recruit and form student leaders, and foster community for First-Year and transfer students.
  • Lead Abide Community Nights: Organize weekly gatherings for Catholic students by designing curriculum, recruiting leaders, and fostering community.
  • Coordinate Evangelization Team: Work with rectors and campus ministers to train and form the Evangelization Team, develop curriculum, accompany students, and plan for growth.
  • Collaborate and Support: Work closely with Campus Ministry staff to provide small group ministry across various settings, maintaining a robust and supportive presence.
  • Continual Growth: Strive to deepen your own spirituality and gain insights into effective evangelization and faith formation methods for young adults.
  • Perform Other Duties: As assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in faith formation for young adults.
  • Ability to articulate Catholic theological perspectives.
  • Strong team-building skills and a clear vision for leader recruitment and formation.
  • Understanding and embracing the charism of the Congregation of Holy Cross.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Theology or a related field
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • In-depth understanding of young adult accompaniment, spirituality, and faith formation
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain robust networks to support student flourishing
  • Experience in developing and leading diverse retreats
  • Ability to articulate how retreats enhance and intersect with other faith experiences
  • Strong pastoral, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
