Office Coordinator – Global Human Rights Clinic!
The Global Human Rights Clinic is both a practicing law firm and a teaching platform for our JD, LLM in International Human Rights Law, JSD Doctoral students, and select group of undergraduate research interns. Overseen by a Law Faculty Director, the Office Coordinator will collaborate with Clinic Staff Attorneys, Legal Fellows, and students, ensuring all cases, clients, and visitors are handled professionally, with dignity and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities:
Clinic Administration (50%):
Clinic Administration (50%):
- Maintain client records in case management software.
- Track expenses and billings per client and submit reports as may be required.
- Respond to client inquiries.
- Ensure students have access to clinic space, files, and records.
- Establish controls and policies for maintaining client confidentiality.
- Create and implement administrative policies and procedures for the clinic.
Onboarding (20%):
- Provide a welcoming and informative onboarding for clinic students and staff, including legal fellows.
- Assist with scheduling visitors and coordinate with other Law departments, such as International and Graduate Programs and Finance and Administration.
Clinic Compliance (10%):
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements for various jurisdictions.
- Process confidentiality agreements, certification verification, and court registrations.
Liaison Duties (10%):
- Act as the conduit between the clinic and other Law School departments, especially Communications and Events.
- Provide input on newsworthy items and coordinate clinic-specific events.
- Ensure the clinic website is accurate and updated in collaboration with the Communications team.
Other Administrative Tasks (10%):
Provide ad hoc administrative support as assigned by the Staff Attorney and Director.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 4 years experience in a legal setting
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups of faculty, staff, student, and visitors
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
- Must have the ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a paralegal or law firm administrative support
- Experience working in an academic law clinic preferred.
