SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketplaces that will be responsible for creating and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns driving sales across Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplaces.

This individual owns the digital marketplace experience for Covetrus while working directly with both internal and external stakeholders. This position will report to the VP of Consumer Marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own strategy and execution of digital marketplace strategy (Amazon, Walmart, eBay) and lead tactical operations to increase product demand, drive sales, acquire customers, and promote the overall online presence of the brands we represent.
  • Own and manage sales forecasting and P&L
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key eCommerce initiatives, promotions, demand planning, and brand marketing.
  • Own the creation, updating, and analyzing of business report across key performance metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, Amazon algorithm updates, and competitive landscape to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, adjusting digital marketing strategies as needed to maintain a strong market position.
  • Continually optimize the existing brand store, product pages and A+ content to drive traffic and sales for existing and new products.
  • Manage and lead all marketplace advertising strategy, execution and agency/SAAS tool partnerships.
  • Utilize search engine optimization (SEO) analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to increase traffic.
  • Lead the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content for product detail pages.
  • Manage end-to-end Amazon advertising campaigns, including keyword research, campaign setup, budget management,and performance analysis.
  • Utilize Amazon's advertising tools and platforms effectively, while exploring innovative solutions to enhance campaign performance and efficiency.
  • Building, monitoring, and leveraging best practices for sponsored ads.
  • Review selling data, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize online marketplace and marketing performance.
  • Responsible for assortment curation and inventory buys and projections against AMZ assortment (in partnership with planning and leadership)
  • Own all product distributor relationships.
  • Own NIS (New Item Setup) process, populating all PDP-related data points to generate ASINs in partnership with cross functional teams.
  • Monitor inventory to avoid OOS both at internal Warehouse as well as FBA inventory.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional partners: Merchandising/Buying, Planning, Marketing, Operations, Brand

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a small team (1-2 FTEs and 1 VA) to help support day to day activities and warehousing and operations.
  • Indirect management of internal and external partners

QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience running an Amazon business; experience within pet preferred
  • 3 or more years of progressive experience developing and executing digital advertising strategies.
  • Hands-on and very entrepreneurial mindset who's comfortable in high-paced startup environments and can manage a lean team to drive results.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrates a curiosity for the latest eCommerce trends and understands how to test and evaluate different waves of ad theory and algorithm changes.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to use data to formulate profitability driven decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally, build effective relationships and influence decision making both internally and externallyto achieve business goals.
  • Excel at storytelling and presenting diverse information in a clear, concise manner with a data-supported point of view; executive presentation experience a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven ability to craft annual Marketplaces Strategic Plan and Forecast aligned with both department and organizational goals
  • Experience managing and updating the online product catalog, including setting up new products and promotional items and maintaining product and category pages data analysis, performance trends, etc.
  • Proven experience in planning, implementing, and optimizing Amazon advertising campaigns, with a strong track record of driving sales and achieving ROAS targets.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Amazon Advertising Console, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and other relevant tools. Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with a mix of platforms and software such as Seller Central, Syndigo, PromoteIQ, CitrusAd, Jungle Scout, Helium10, Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$126,200.00 - $234,400.00
