Job Mission

The mission of the System Architect for the CDO US Analytics agile release train (ART) is to provide architecture guidance and technical leadership to several scrum teams working on a wide array of data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to support multiple ASML US business lines and departments. Our solutions and use cases span multiple enabling technologies (on-premise, cloud, edge) as well as highly heterogenous data assets (structured, unstructured, real-time, local, installed base, etc.) and analytics and AI needs.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Lead the technical engagement on new opportunities to solve highly complex business challenges and drive analytics and AI innovation by framing architecture boundaries for solution direction, including innovation step-ups, resulting in robust, enterprise-grade solutions
  • Proactively identify data management and analytics capabilities within the IT CDO and US Analytics ART needed to support current and future business needs.
  • Contribute to the US Analytics ART leading coalition by providing architecture guidelines, roadmaps, and critical technical guidance for solution enablement, team skills and capabilities, and business innovation
  • Consult and support US Analytics delivery teams on epics and features to ensure alignment with intended solution path and architecture guidelines as well as incorporating relevant non-functional requirements
  • Influence IT CDO and ASML (where appropriate) technology roadmaps to prioritize, incorporate or ramp-up on technologies and capabilities needed to support ASML US business needs
  • Collaborate effectively with the IT architect community and specifically with the CDO architects to ensure clarity in enterprise data management and analytics capability roadmaps and full recognition of key enabler needs and priorities to support ASML US business needs
  • Contribute to the IT architecture competence both at the global IT, department (CDO), and ART (US Analytics) level
  • Mentor junior or "new to ASML" architects to ensure effective a positive and successful transition to their roles, architecture competence, and relevant stakeholder network

Education and Experience

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical domain.
  • Degree or certificate in entrepreneurship or business development is a plus.
  • Certified on Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Google GCP, or Amazon AWS cloud solution architecture and data management, data engineering, and analytics / AI technologies.
  • Certified in TOGAF, ARIS, ITIL, etc. is a plus.
  • Proven experience with fundamental solution design principles and data integration patterns for enterprise-grade and enterprise-scope solutions.
  • Proven experience with cloud and ized application design principles including SOA, microservices, APIs, contracts, etc.
  • Proven experience leading DevOps technologies for -based software solution delivery.
  • Proven experience integrating security principles and implementation for -based solutions.
  • Proven experience with ideation, technical innovation, and venture/startups is a plus.
  • Proven experience with database principles, data warehousing (virtual or physical), data modeling, and data governance concepts.
  • Proven experience with data visualization tools and capabilities such as PowerBI, Grafana, or Spotfire.
  • Proven experience with data science and artificial intelligence capabilities, tools and platforms.
  • Familiar with range of high tech industries and operations, with semiconductor, high tech manufacturing, and field service a plus.

Other Information

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It works on a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite/2 days remote. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $136,500-$227,500. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
